St. Paul's, Cleopatra, and other adventures

We all attended the Sunday Service at St. Paul's Cathedral yesterday. Stunning architecture, ornate, beatiful. Everytime I shifted focus, I found something new. Much of the service was based on music by Mozart, with a choir and string/horn orchestra. Communion for 2000 people! (it was very efficient). Afterwards some of us (a group with me) visited the British Museum with artifacts from ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt. Mummies including Cleopatra! Other's visited the Wax Museum (yes, Lynn, Tor went and and had a great time). Last night some of us took the night tour of London and got a real sense of the city.

Today all the group save one is visiting the Tower of London. I'm the one as I search for a dentist (found one actually). At least it's not one of the kids (i.e., young adults) with us. I'll catch up with the rest later. Then it's off to the airport and Tanzania!

So glad that you were able to take care of the tooth. I remember that when I got something in my eye in England and "went round to the surgery" that it was free. Was this? Tor actually sent me an email last evening from an Internet Cafe. Were excited to get an update. He said the girls did a lot of screaming at the wax museum. Thanks so much for setting upthe blog, Mark. I'll be thinking of you all as you head to the airport this evening. Hope all goes smoothly and will await news from Tanzania. Lynn (Tor's mom)

Hi Mark, Tarquin here. How did you crack a tooth? Did you start trouble at a soccer match? I warned you. Anyway I hope you all enjoyed London. I love St.Pauls but never went to a service there. The Tower should be fun, the Beefeater guards are very funny on the tour.
have a safe flight.

Greetings, Blessings and Peace to each of you. I know that you are having the experience of a lifetime. Some of you will continue to have contact with Ailanga for the rest of your lives.
I am thoroughly enjoying your postings and am doing a virtual travel with you. Now I am going to look up Arusha so I can picture where you are. Keep smiling, laughing, singing, praying and making friends!

Julie Pierce, Faith
